So I happened to read a tweet yesterday that our local splash park would be free today because the pool is closed for a repair. Normally you have to pay for a pool/splash park pass, which is more than we’re willing to pay so that we can go to the splash park for half an hour.
So today, between the extremely high heat index and the free splash park admission, it was the perfect day to put on swimsuits, slather on sunscreen, and head out for some fun in the sun.
I got more pictures of Squeezy than of the boys, for a variety of reasons. For one thing, they were kind of a blur, and she still toddles slower than I can walk. For another, they’ve been there, done that, so it wasn’t quite as new and fun for them.
But we all know the real reason is because her swimsuit has a ruffle on the butt. Combine that with her chunky fat thighs, and it’s pretty much unbeatable in the cute-and-photogenic department.
Not that you can actually see her butt ruffle OR chunky thighs in most of these pictures. But you’ll just have to trust me. They were there, and they were cute.
(I was so mean to her to get this picture. Those sprayers don’t spray all the time, so while they were not spraying I stuck her in the middle of the ring and then waited till they shot up. Poor thing!)
This boy was there too.
He spent most of his time under the spray arch, making friends and being cute.
Bubs saw one of his school friends there. This next series is Bubba and his friend’s little brother.
